Is It a Dry Day in Kota Today?
Dry days in Kota, Rajasthan
Kota follows Rajasthan alcohol and dry-day rules. This calendar follows the Rajasthan Excise Department statewide dry-day list: Republic Day, Shaheed Diwas, Mahavir Jayanti, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti. Election or local-order days can still be added at short notice.
On declared dry days, licensed liquor shops and alcohol-serving venues generally cannot sell or serve alcohol.
Legal drinking age note: 18 in common guidance.

The ancient Indian text Arthashastra mentions state control, taxation, and regulation of alcoholic drinks. This shows that alcohol rules in India have a long history, and modern dry day restrictions are part of a much wider tradition of regulation.
